4th Annual General Meeting – 24 January 2026 Ponderosa Leisure Farm, Silang, Cavite
Thirty of us – young ones, young once, ever-wise and wiser all travelled to the cooler part of the country to gather for our 4th Annual General Meeting and social get-together.
In the cool, gentle breeze of the country-side and on the grounds of a palatial house of our ever-generous host Tol Macoy, we started with an Opening Prayer led by Sis Alice Reyes. This was quickly followed by the President’s report, Treasurer’s report. Then the attendees introduced themselves, sharing their professional experiences, current affiliations, adventures, explorations and unforgettable trials, tribulations and ordeals from their Mapua days and their great many experiences as members of EMANS. We had it all! Great storytelling by Tol Dodong and memories aplenty! This is a day to reminisce after all.
The Awarding of the Emans Dirty Dozen Legacy Award formed the highlight of whole proceedings. The awardees were: Noel Lacadin, Dodong Espanola, Bernie Barcelona, Gerry Miranda, Larry Bayrante (special award for his commitment to Emans). The Emans Legacy Award is a prestigious award that honors selected members of EMANS who have made outstanding contributions and demonstrated significant impact in the fields of Mining Engineering, Geology, and Metallurgical Engineering, as well as for their enduring support of the Epsilon Mu Alpha Fraternity, now known as the Epsilon Mu Alpha Association, Inc.
The formalities over, we proceeded to a grand dinner – bangus aplenty & luscious, juicy giant prawns amongst other delicious dishes. There was a lot of singing of course – ‘Emans Got Talent’! The hired band was put on the sideline. Fun was had by all.
