EMAA Brods Elected to 2024-2025 FOMI Board
The Foundation of Outstanding Mapuans (FOMI), elected Messrs. Arsenio (Sonny) Sebial, Donato (Mackoy) Marcos and Florinio (Nyong) Lazo as members of the Board of Trustees during its Annual General Assembly Meeting held last March 2, 2024 at Sofitel, Manila.
Sonny Sebial was elected as the new FOMI President, while Donato Marcos was elected as the new member of the Board of Trustees. On the other hand, Nyong Lazo was re-elected as the PRO for the 8th year now. As FOMI President, Sonny Sebial automatically sits as member of the Board of Advisers and Trustees of the National Association of Mapua Alumni (NAMA). The new trustees will serve for the term 2024-2025.
All three, Sonny Sebial, Marcos Donato and Nyong Lazo were nominated among the 13 elected Trustees. In an internal election amongst the Trustees, the following were elected to the seven officers for the year 2024-2025: Arsenio K. Sebial (President), Robbie C. Moreno (1st Vice President), Mario C. Marasigan (2nd Vice President), Carlito E. Alpay (Secretary), Belen G. Ceniza (Treasurer), Richard L. Osmond (Auditor), Florinio B. Lazo (PRO). The rest of the current Trustees include Edmond Aguilar, Gliceria G. Cabrera-Estrella, Allyxon T. Cua, Flordeliza C. Villaseñor, Aurora Lumaque-Cruz, Donato D. Marcos.
The 15-member FOMI Board (13 Trustees, 1 FOMI Immediate Past President and 1 current NAMA President officially assumed their posts in a formal turnover last April 12 .
The Foundation of Outstanding Mapuans, Inc., is a non-profit organization which was established with a vision to empower and uplift the Mapua University community. Its mission is to foster a vibrant network of alumni and students, driving positive change through innovation, collaboration and service. Brods Sonny, Mackoy and Nyong are members of the Epsilon Mu Alpha Association, Inc. (EMAA). Brod Nyong serves as a member of EMAA and is the current Treasurer 2.
